Alex Good

Alex Good is a multi-disciplinary musician and educator in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in 2002 from the University of British Columbia specializing in opera performance.

 

In 2005 Alex received his Master of Music Studies degree from the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia, where he specialized in opera performance and vocal pedagogy. While in Australia, Alex sang exclusively with Opera Queensland.

 

Since returning to Canada, he has turned his attention to the teaching and composing of music. He has released two albums of anxty pop, and now shares his musical attentions between classical pursuits and contemporary performance and composition.

 

From 2009-13, Alex was the head of voice at Theatre New Brunswick’s Theatre School. He has instructed and music directed groups such as Fredericton Youth Orchestra, and ‘Christmas at the Playhouse’.

 

Alex has been the music director at Forest Hill United Church with one respite since 2016.

 

He currently teaches voice, piano, acoustic guitar, at his private studio at his lovely home in Fredericton. And for something completely different, he is currently studying in the Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University.
